Planned release of TextureMind Desktop for 6 January 2025 will be a beta version

This release will be just a beta version with a simple implementation of the TMD protocol. It will be composed by two applications: a server and a viewer. The server can be manually launched in the host machine via the command prompt with admin rights. The viewer connects to the server in the host machine. For now, the software is portable and it won't handle sessions with system rights. All these limitations will be removed in the next releases.

This is a list of the limitations within the first beta version:

  • No sessions, agents or system rights
  • Portable, no installer
  • No SSL connection
  • Only via software encoding and decoding
  • Linux: only Ubuntu24
  • Only default settings

However, you will be able to connect to a remote machine and test the new protocol as you wish. It can start on any version of Windows from 7 or greater (Windows 10 or greater is suggested).
